Analyzing Generation Z's Digital Entrepreneurial Behavior: A Reflection on the Role of Entrepreneurship Education and Learning Management

Abstract

With the development of digital businesses, digital entrepreneurship has attracted significant attention from the youth of Generation Z. This generation, who are just entering the business market, is most familiar with technology and the digital space and has a high ability to utilize it. On the other hand, to achieve entrepreneurial goals, it is necessary for entrepreneurial intention to lead to entrepreneurial behavior, which requires solving a set of different knowledge and behavioral problems. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of learning management and entrepreneurship education in transforming digital entrepreneurial intention into digital entrepreneurial behavior of Generation Z. Descriptive-survey methods were used in collecting and analyzing data in this study. The statistical population was students of Payam Noor University in Kermanshah province, and the research findings were analyzed using the structural equation model. The data collection tools used were the standard questionnaires of digital entrepreneurial intention by Lautital, digital entrepreneurial behavior by Shirokowatal, entrepreneurship education by Li Nan and Chen, and learning management by Sihyo et al. In evaluating the structural model, estimating path coefficients and significance levels, 3Smart Pls software was used. The results showed that the research hypotheses were confirmed and learning management and entrepreneurship education can play a role as mediating variables in transforming digital entrepreneurial intention into digital entrepreneurial behavior among Generation Z students, in addition to playing a direct role in shaping digital entrepreneurial behavior. These results, in addition to enriching the literature on the subject, indicate the importance of learning management and entrepreneurship education in shaping digital entrepreneurial behavior and the need for planning and policymaking in this area.
